Okay, so even though I have said for quite sometime that I would never do a blog, I decided to give it a try. Seemed pretty harmless until I actually tried to figure this thing out, I have a feeling that it'll take quite some time, but it's worth a shot. I actually think that this will be a great way to journal, but who's to say our children will even want to read what we were up to when we were young, once we are gone.
So.............we are coming up on almost 18 months of marriage. It's amazing to me how quickly time flies. Randy is super busy working for the College and I have started working at a new salon that is much closer to home. I was currently at Steur and Friends Salon for five years, and it truly was a hard move because my friends there have been there for me for a lot of experiences and have always been so supportive but it was time to move on and I am very happy at my new place.
I have recently decided to simplify my life,(simplify? hahaha) and I am trying to get rid of the "stuff" that can so quickly take over my home. Today I am tackling the dusty rack of music I own, I don't even listen to half of these CD's anymore, especially since I have discovered iTunes and would rather purchase music that way. So I am keeping the essentials ie. Michael Buble`, Diana Krall, John Mayer, Keith Urban, James Taylor, Garth Brooks, Sade just to name a few, and hopefully getting rid of the rest.
I have also accumulated a disgusting amount of pictures. Now, I know that it's no crime to have a lot of pictures, I just wish I, A-could organize them better, B-didn't have so many duplicates, C-could burn a few of them, D-didn't have a few people in them that are in them(no worries you are not one of these people if you are related to me and/or are a close friend/client). Pictures are a fantastic way to look back and remember, but woof. And I refuse, absolutely refuse to scrapbook, it's just not my thing and I don't feel in the least bit bad about that. I hope I can tackle the pictures here in the future.
Well, this has been quite the long beginning post. I hope I didn't break any rules, I for some reason think that there is some sort of decorum for blogging. Like I shouldn't post certain things. Only in America! I guess I will learn soon enough:)
That was a great first post!
